The Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital is run and funded by the Marathwada Medical Research Institute Trust, a body wholly founded by a group of leading Doctors and noted Industrialists of the city. It is operated on a 'No-Profit-No-Loss’ basis. A center recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India as a Research Institute. All donations are exempt from Income Tax under section 35(i) and (ii) & 80 G Contributions received are gratefully acknowledged and the benefit is passed on to the poor and needy patients in the form of free or subsidized treatment. Donations given u/s 35 (i)(ii) of income tax attract 175% exemption on income tax & those given u/s 80 attract 50% exemption.
The hospital is a recognized center for Kidney transplant, Brain & Spinal Surgery and Open Heart Surgery under The JEEVAN DAYEE YOJANA of the Maharashtra State Government.

The hospital also runs a programme of providing relief to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society with free / subsidized treatment. During the year 2010-2011, we had undertaken medical camps in 53 villages covering 7849 BPL families in and around Aurangabad district, where more than 2600 patients have been checked and given treatment and medicines free and out of these about 900 patients needing further treatment at hospital were treated totally free as in patients at the hospital, for ailments such as – Cardiac, Kidney, Cancer, TB, Leprosy, ENT, Ophthalmic, etc. |
